The Superior Business Improvement District (SBID) Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of their Executive Director, Lindsey M. Jacobson.
As Executive Director, Ms. Jacobson increased the visibility of the SBID by leading the organization through a rebranding and expansion of its online presence. She advanced the mission of the SBID through increased communication, aggressive marketing campaigns and the creation and installation of streetscape banners throughout the district. Many new businesses brought greater diversity to the SBID during her leadership, and she served as the lead advocate for businesses and residents throughout the Belknap reconstruction. Jacobson provided her expertise by contributing to the design, execution, and post-project support of this historic community investment. She has also maintained a great relationship with Superior’s economic development partners as well as many departments of the city of Superior.
“My physical complications from MS have prevented me from being as active as I believe the SBID deserves,” Jacobson stated. “At this time, I feel it would be best for me to step down to focus on my health, strength and mobility and give the opportunity to a new Executive Director, who can continue to build and grow the organization as it deserves. While I am stepping down from my professional role, I will continue to share my passion for the SBID and its members. I wish my successor and the Board the very best of luck. They may depend on my full support in the years ahead.”
Jacobson has offered to assist in the transition of the next Executive Director to ensure that operations continue to function smoothly.
“Our district has made great strides under Lindsey’s leadership, and she has been a fierce advocate for our businesses. We have greatly appreciated her dedication to the organization, rebranding the organization and especially her leadership through the Belknap reconstruction. We support her decision to now place a greater focus on her health and future.”- Nick Korhonen, SBID Board President.
The Board of Directors is grateful for Director Jacobson’s dedicated service and wishes her well.
